Snapchat This is a video sharing application created by Evan Spiegel, Bobby Murphy and Reggie Brown when they were students at Stanford University. Using the application, users can take photos, record videos, add text and pictures and send them to a controlled list of recipients. These posted photos and videos are known as Snapshots. Users set a time limit during which recipients can view their snapshots (as of September 2015, the range is from 1 to 10 seconds), and then Snapchat claims that they will be removed from the company's servers.
In recent years, Snapchat pays more and more attention to its History feature, which allows users to collect pictures into a “story” that other users can view in chronological order, with each picture available within 24 hours after publication. In addition to user stories, Snapchat also contains curated "Our Stories" with content from various users, focused on a specific topic or event.
According to Snapchat, in May 2015, users of the application sent 2 billion photos and videos per day, and the content of Snapchat Stories was viewed 500 million times a day. In November 2015, that number reached 6 billion videos per day.
Life is more fun when you live in the moment.
