Notepad ++ Portable available for free download from our software library. This is a convenient, very useful source code editor, designed to support multiple programming languages. Notepad ++ is a free replacement for Notepad.

This project is based on the editable Scintilla component (a very powerful editor) and is written in C ++ with a pure win32 API (i.e., without MFC, which provides a higher execution speed and a smaller program size).

Syntax highlighting and syntax folding:
Supported languages: C, C ++, Java, C #, XML, HTML, PHP, Javascript, RC resource file, makefile, ASCII art file (.nfo extension, doxygen, ini file, batch file, ASP source files , VB / VBS, SQL, Objective-C, CSS, Pascal, Perl, Python and Lua.

WYSIWYG:
If you have a color printer, print your source code (or whatever you want) in color.

Style Configurator:
For each style in each supported language, the user can change the background / foreground color, font, font size, and font style (bold or italic) through the Style Configurator dialog box.

The user defines syntax highlighting:
This allows the user to define his own language: not only syntax highlighting keywords, but also syntax collapse keywords, comment keywords and operators.

Multi-Document:
You can edit multiple documents at the same time.

Multi-View:
You have two looks at the same time. This means that you can visualize (edit) 2 different documents at the same time. You can visualize (edit) in two types one document in two different positions. Changing a document in one view will be performed in another view (i.e., you change the same document when you are in clone mode).

Regular expressions search supported:
You can search for a single line in a document using a regular expression.

Full Drag ‘N’ Drop is supported:
You can open the document by dragging and dropping. You can also move your document from position (or even from view) to another by dragging and dropping.

Dynamic viewing position:
The user can set the position of the views dynamically (only in 2 views: the separator can be installed horizontally or vertically).

Autodetect file status:
If you change or delete the file that opened in Notebook Portable, you will be notified when your document is updated (reload the file or delete the file).

Increase and decrease:
This is another fantastic feature of the Scintilla component.

Multilingual environment supported:
Chinese, Japanese, and Korean Windows environments are supported.

Bookmark:
The user can simply click on the bookmark field (located to the right of the line number field) or press Ctrl + F2 to toggle the bookmark. To get to the bookmark, enter simply F2 (Next bookmark) or Shift + F2 (Previous bookmark). To clear all bookmarks, click Search menu-> Clear All Bookmarks.

Bracket and indent rules
When the caret stays next to one of these characters {} [ ] (), the symbol next to the carriage and its symmetric opposite symbol will be highlighted, as well as the indent pointer (if any) to make it easier to find the block.
